"I went to Islena hoping to get help with a painful bursitis that nothing else seemed to help. After only three treatments her gentle, painless method has eased this problem a great deal and, as a bonus, eliminated the pain in my shoulder that has troubled me for more than ten years. I expect my bursitis to be completely gone with a few more treatments". ~Susan Torrano

During the 90 minute VTYM session, the practitioner and recipient are on a large, comfortable, futon floor mat, with recipient wearing loose-fitting clothing. The practitioner applies a series of flowing, rhythmic compressions using palms, feet, knees, elbows, forearms, and fingers, while blending various stretching positions and asanas, allowing for a surrendering release and deeper openings of the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Recipients are guided in the use of breath control (pranayama) to enhance the overall experience.
